Summary Extensive filling of neighbouring cerebral vascular regions through the circle of WILLIS is frequently observed during carotid arteriography, using Halothane anaesthesia. One case showing complete filling of all cerebral arteries, including the distal neck vessels from an injection of the internal carotid artery is described and used as the basis for a discussion of the phenomenon.
