Worldwide carbon black nanoparticles (CBNPs) production is about 10 million tons per year. It is mainly used in rubber products, predominantly in tires and also as a pigment in printer ink, paints and plastics. CBNPs are produced by incomplete combustion of hydrocarbon fuels.
