Acute viral hepatitis (AVH) is an inflammatory process of the liver involving primarily the parenchyma. The most common etiology is viral infection: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, cytomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr virus, adenovirus, Coxsackie virus.
