Diagnostic algorithm for multidimensional ultrasound (US) breast imaging

Introduction: The aim is to present a time saving diagnostic algorithm consisting of multidimensional 2D, 3D and 4D US technologies. Diagnostic algorithm: Lesion detection: High quality 2D US is the basis for detecting a breast lesion complementary to mammography or as a first line imaging tool. Static 3D US multidimensional lesion analysis: After the acquisition of the diagnostic static 3D volume US data set of the lesion and the surrounding tissue the lesion will be studied in the multiplanar display mode.
