Arterial vascular disease: another burden in chronic C hepatitis patients

Purpose: Ultrasound assessment of neck arteries by Duplex carotid and vertebral approach in patients with chronic C hepatitis and acute stroke. Material and methods: 50 patients (24 men, 26 women, age between 25 – 82 years) with acute stroke and chronic VHC infection (43 chronic hepatitis, 7 cirrhosis), admitted to the Clinic of Neurology, County Hospital Timisoara, were enrolled in this study.
