Prevalence of obesity among diabetes in selected area in Sri Lanka

Rates of non-communicable diseases are increasing in Sri Lanka rapidly. Obesity is a multi-factorial disease and frequently related with diabetes, hypertension and other cardiovascular diseases. The aim of this study was to estimate fasting blood glucose concentration and body mass index in diabetic patients. A total of 357 patients aged between 20 – 70 years both male and female were recruited for this study.
