Zusammenfassung

The mandibular area, jaw line and neck is a continuum. Procedures that are available to improve the contours are the use of Aptos threads, platysma repair, neck lift, botulinum toxin injections of the platysma bands and liposuction. A combination of procedures is often recommended. However, in many patients liposuction of themandibular area, submandibular area and neck give dramatic improvements postponing other procedures. When liposuction of this area is performed, generosity in respect to the surface area to be treated is one of the keys to success.
