Effects of a special rhubarb extract on the uterine growth and proliferation in ovariectomized Wistar rats

A recent clinical study with a 2-year application of the extract ERr 731® from Rheum rhaponticum demonstrated its endometrial safety. The aim of the present study is to validate the above observation in an experimental animal model by assessing dose dependent effects of ERr 731® on proliferation in the uterus of ovariectomized (ovx) rats.
