Renal ultrasound screening for renal congenital abnormalities at newborns, in Arad maternity

Introduction: The renal ultrasound screening has been introduced in our maternity in response to Clinical Urological Chief's proposal, dr. Ioiart. The paraclinical exam was performed by the neonatologyst physicians. The aim of screening was to find in early stages the renal abnormalities that can be rectified on surgical way. Material and methods: The renal ultrasound screening was performed in 2135 newborns, with Logiq 100 Pro device, 3.5MHz scanhead.
