Purpose: No study have yet investigated the incidence of adverse events in the real clinical practice with Sulphur Exafluoride (SonoVue) – an ultrasound contrast agent introduced on the market in Italy at the end of 2001. Assessing such incidence was therefore the aim of the present retrospective study proposed by the Italian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (SIUMB).
