Zusammenfassung
Progress in cancer treatment results in improved survival and longer living of patients with all the physical and psyhological consequences that their illness and its treatment brings. The task of rehabilitation – often called ''the third branch of medicine'' – is to reintegrate these patients into everyday life and its activities as fully as possible. Rehabilitation of cancer patients should be not only physical but also psychological and social. In this paper early and late consequences of treatment of breast cancer, their prevention and treatment in Slovenia is presented.
