EPICure Studie

Aims. Children born extremely preterm are at risk for cognitive and learning impairments and pervasive behavioural problems at early school age. Previous clinical reports have suggested but not systematically investigated that very preterm children are at increased risk for social and communication disorders. We just completed the assessment of long term cognitive, academic, behavioural and autism spectrum disorder outcomes in extremely preterm children at 11 years and this is the first comprehensive report of the findings.
