Zusammenfassung

Aim: To evaluate the status of the fetus with single umbilical artery (SUA) regarding associated anomalies and prognosis. Method: Nine fetuses with single umbilical artery were evaluated in the materno-fetal unit of Dumitru Popescu Women's Hospital in Timişoara. Results: From 01.01. 2005 to 31.01.2008, 9 fetuses with SUA were detected by ultrasound screening at different ages of gestation. Isolated SUA was found in five fetuses.
