Prognostic value of median cerebral artery Dopplerographic patterns in patients with cardioembolic ischemic stroke

Aim: The aim of the study was to clarify prognostic value of median cerebral artery (MCA) patterns in patients with cardioembolic ischemic stroke. Material and methods: 59 patients at the age of 25–79 years in acute period of ischemic stroke were examined by methods of transcranial Doppler of MCA, CT of brain and echocardiography (EchoCG). Results: In all the cases EchoCG revealed thrombi in ventricles of heart.
