Despite great efforts in understanding the oncogenetics of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), the prognosis of these patients remains dismal. One of the aspects of this tumour that contributes to its aggressive behaviour and is still poorly understood is its altered metabolism. For this study, we used Genetically Engineered Mouse Models (GEMMs) with pancreas specific activation of oncogenic Kras and concomitant deletion of p53 (Ptf1a+/Cre, Kras+/LSL-G12D, p53loxP/loxP; CKP).
