Aims: Linac-based IORT with electrons is implemented to prevent local recurrences after breast conserving therapy (BCT) in the vicinity of the former tumor site and is delivered in a single high dose to the zone of the highest contamination with subclinical tumor cells. A collaborative analysis has been performed by member institutions of the European Group of the ISIORT using parallel methods sequencing and dosage in intra-and postoperative radiotherapy in the pool of 1131 patients during BCT.
