Modelling metabolomic data in pre-diabetes research

A non target metabolomics approach by ultrahigh resolution mass spectrometry (ICR-FT/MS) was developed to evaluate 46 plasma samples of subjects exhibiting high to low insulin sensitivities. The aim of our study was to investigate for the first time metabolic patterns with a „metabolomics data modelling approach“ to elucidate the conversion from physiological to pathophysiological insulin sensitivity by an individual metabolic fingerprint.
