Zusammenfassung

Ziele: To evaluate retrospectively interventional thrombolysis of acute or subacute thrombosis of the portal vein (PV) using the transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic-stent-shunt (TIPS) approach. Methode: From July 2003 to February 2011, 24 patients (13 males, 11 females with a mean age of 48.1 ± 15.8 years with a range of 19 – 71 years) underwent an attempt of thrombolysis of the PV using a TIPS approach. Group (I) consisted of 9 patients (mean age 53.9 ± 12.4 years) with acute symptoms of thrombosis of less or just 1 week.
