Zusammenfassung
Case Report: Primary pulmonary germ cell tumors are extremely rare in old male population. Because of their unusual location and radiologic imaging they can mimic lung cancer. We present a 58-year-old man with a primary mixed seminomatous pulmonary germ cell tumor diagnosed postoperatively consisting of 95% seminoma accompanied by 5% teratocarcinoma. A left lower lobectomy and mediastinal lymph node dissection was performed. Postoperatively, final histologic examination revealed also mediastinal lymph node metastases (pT3,pN2(27/53),cM0, stadium IIIA). A cisplatin-based chemotherapy completed the procedure.
