Update on Phaco-Techniques

Nowadays we perform our routine cataract surgery through a 2.6mm clear corneal incision. The nucleus is mechanically divided by Phaco Prechop using Karate Prechop technique for soft nuclei and Counter Prechop for harder ones. Akahoshi tip is used with a specially modified micro sleeve with three irrigation ports. NeoSoniX handpiece is used on Infiniti at the flow rate of 60ml/min and dynamic rise 4, 650mmHg vacuum and 10 msec linear burst settings.
