Structural MRI analysis of patients with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy using optimised voxel-based morphometry

Purpose: MRI scans of patients with idiopathic generalized epilepsy (IGE) are normal on visual inspection. Previous studies have shown large cerebral structure changes in patients with Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy (JME). The purpose of this study was to analyze the MRI scans of patients with JME with a group of healthy controls with the optimized voxel-based morphometry (VBM) using the SPM2 software.
