Zusammenfassung
The intestinal peptides CCK, PYY and GLP-1 are secreted in response to meals. In contrast, ghrelin is released before eating and suppressed postprandially. Little is known about interactions between these peptides released from proximal and distal gastrointestinal (GI) tract. We investigated the effects of CCK-8 and GLP-1 on plasma ghrelin and PYY. Methods: Nine males (22±1yrs; BMI 23±0.5kg/m2) were studied on four separate occasions, on which they received infusions of (1) saline, (2) CCK-8 (1.8pmol/kg/min), (3) GLP-1 (0.9pmol/kg/min), or (4) CCK-8+GLP-1, each for 120min, in randomized, double-blind fashion.
