Accelerated glycolysis is one of the biochemical characteristics of cancer cells. The glucose transporter isoforms 1 and 3 (GLUT1 and GLUT3) are a key rate-limiting factors in the transport of glucose into cancer cells but the expression and the biological significance of GLUT1 and GLUT3 expression in HCC hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) are unknown. The aim of this study was to analyze the expression and function of GLUT1 and GLUT3 in HCC.
