Surgery for liver and biliary lesions at our department between 2005 and 2006

Introduction: Authors evaluate the experiences gained with liver and biliary tract surgery between June 2005 and December 2006. Patients: During the last 18 months 20 patients were operated for liver or biliary tract lesion at our department. 5 of these were benign whereas 15 were malignant. Amongst the malignant cases 6 were in the gallbladder, 3 Klatskin and 6 metastatic liver (colorectal, pulmonary, gynaecological) tumours.
