Amniocentesis – followed by antenatal diagnosis. The Experience of Clinic I of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Timişoara

Aim: The aim of the study is to present the experience of our clinic in the field of amniocentesis, followed by antenatal cytogenetic diagnosis. Materials and methods: Between January 2006 and December 2007 in our clinic were performed under US examination, 23 classic amniocentesis, followed by the determination of fetal karyotype in the culture of amniotic fluid. Selection of the cases for amniocentesis was made if minimum two markers from our protocol were present.
