Doppler ultrasound in preoperativ evaluation of the superficial venous diseases

The aim: The treatment of varicose vein disease must be guided by a correct diagnostics, principally relying upon colour-flow-duplex imaging, a real gold standard for this kind of vascular disease. Methods: In this study, 55 consecutive patients (82 limbs) assessed pre-operatively for the presence or absence of reflux at the saphenofcmoral junction.
