This year, the 21th international meeting of Experimental Neuro-Oncology was held the third time in Minden. As in the recent years scientists of Germany and neighboring countries discussed new strategies in diagnostics and treatment of pediatric brain tumors. The high importance of molecular genetics in brain tumor diagnostics becomes more and more obvious. In the future, individual treatment stratification using both pathological and genetic analyses will be indispensable to ameliorate the prognosis within several tumor subgroups.
