Medicine and, in particular, surgery have tremendously benefited from the technical progress with the inauguration of medical instruments and optimized devices as well as their further technical improvements over the years. In addition to the big steps such as establishment of laparoscopic surgery, there have been always moderate steps forward in accomplishing and/or optimizing the usable devices.
