Zusammenfassung
Nerve conduction studies of the facial nerve with electric and magnetic stimulation within three days after onset of Bell's palsy provide information about the differential diagnosis of the etiology, particularly with regard to borreliosis as a specifically treatable cause. Canalicular hypoexcitability is considered as a very specific finding for (idiopathic) Bell's palsy in the literature.
