THE INTRAOBSERVER AND INTEROBSERVER VARIATIONS (DEVIATIONS) IN THE THYROID VOLUME ULTRASOUND ESTIMATION

Purpose: to assess the intraobserver and interobserver variations in the estimation of the thyroid volume in 2D and 3D ultrasound modes and to compare the obtained results. Methods and Materials: 130 patients without any thyroid pathology and with various thyroid disorders were investigated by the same observer. The study group comprised the patients (70 men and 60 women) ranging in age from 19 to 85 (mean age 47). Additionally 25 adults were examined by two different specialists.
