Zusammenfassung

Purpose: To demonstrate the value of the ultrasound (US) as an excellent diagnostic modality in evaluation of the appendix as well as to assess further treatment of acute appendicitis based on US study. Material and methods: We present 124 cases, which were undergone on US examination of the abdomen with special accent on appendicular region. Patients were aged between 15 and 57 years, with pick incident of second decade of life. 51 (41.1%) patients were male and 73 (58.9%) were female.
