Zusammenfassung

Aim: Mediastinal tumors are not an easy situation for exact diagnostics. The aim of the investigation was to determine the possibilities of sonography in diagnosis of mediastinal tumors. Material and methods: Thorax sonography, as a part of clinical complex examination, was performed in 474 patients with mediastinal tumors and tumor-like formations (Hodgkin's disease, non-Hodgkin\'s lymphoma, thymoma, thoracic goiter, coelomic cyst abdominomediastinal lipoma, teratoma and teratoblastoma, bronchogenic and enterogenic cyst, neurinoma and other kinds of tumors).
