Periodontal viruses as a factor in premature birth

The purpose of the study – to examine the significance of viral agents in the periodontal habitat premature birth pregnancy. To do this, examined 30 pregnant women with preterm birth and subsequent development activities in the pregnancy – up to 37 weeks (22–36 weeks). They constituted the group. The control group of 10 women each were mothers with timely deliveries, and pregnant women with clinical signs of threatened abortion at 22–36 weeks duration.
