Different Somatostatin (SST) production in the background of controlled and uncontrolled cell proliferation in colonic mucosa

Background: Alterations in proliferative activity during ageing compared to carcinogenesis, and the molecular differences of controlled and uncontrolled cell proliferation in colonic mucosa are unknown.
