Zusammenfassung
Background: It has been increasingly recognized that hepatic perfusion as a result of both inflow (arterial and portal pressure) and outflow factors (central venous pressure) critically determine liver stiffness (LS). Aims: To assess changes in LS in correlation with the variceal status of patients in serial measurements as well as directly after variceal ligation. Methods: We first retrospectively analyzed the patient histories of 99 patients that received ligation in our center in the years of 2010 – 2015. 15 patients were found that underwent serial LS measurements and gastroscopy within 5 months.
