Introduction: In November 2008 Spanish hospitals started accrual to the Euronet-PHL-C1 trial. Due to local difficulties in completing legal requirements some patients from different hospitals were treated outside the trial according to the standard arm and did not benefit from the national pathology review and the central imaging review in Halle for staging and early response assessment.
