In Germany more than one millionpeople are living with dementia. The illnessn sprogression increasingly requires health care in which the nursing profession plays an important role. Furthermore theprofessionssignificanceincreasesdue to demographicchanges, especially in the outpatientsetting. Vocationalandacademic nursing educations already address dementia butfurther qualificationof nurses is still neededtoachieve quality-assured and evidence-based treatment and support.
