Zusammenfassung

In the medical devices sector, there is often a distinction between the company developing and manufacturing the product physically (Original Equipment Manufacturer OEM) and the company which is placing it on the market under his own name (Private Label Manufacturer PLM). This subcontracting relation is mainly called OEM-PLM constellation. One of the benefits of such concept is to permit companies to supplement their product portfolio.
