Zusammenfassung

Section 3 of the German Drinking Water Ordinance1 defines drinking water from various perspectives as a consumable that comes into contact with the human body. It is water used in the kitchen for preparing food and beverages, for cleaning dishes, for personal hygiene and for washing clothes and other laundry. This definition requires that, in accordance with Section 4 of the Ordinance, drinking water is free of pathogens that can adversely affect human health. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of these pathogens.
