Autologous Transfusion - from Euphoria to Reason: Clinical Practice Based on Scientific Knowledge ”Your own blood is the safest blood” - this is the statement of the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) on its official ”Autologous Blood Poster” [1]. It is made for lays in order to promote preoperative autologous blood donation (PABD), and to demonstrate its potential advantages.
