Summary Rising exposure to chronic diseases and related risk factors have led to a notable increase in attributable disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) in the last 25 years. This concerning trend has highlighted the need for additional efforts to address behavioral risk factors for chronic diseases. The workplace has proven to be an effective setting to mitigate and improve these risk factors and a growing number of employers worldwide are recognizing their role in advancing employee health and well-being.
