Background and Aim: The simultaneous intake of Energy Drinks (ED) with alcohol is becoming more and more popular. 71% of young adult ED consumers state that they drink EDs in combination with alcohol. Multiple studies have demonstrated the negative effects of EDs and alcohol individually on the cardiovascular system. However, little is known how these substances effect the cardiovascular system when taken in combination.
