Multiple myeloma (MM) is the second most common hematologic malignancy. Although treatment options have increased in recent years, there is still no curative therapy. Evidence suggests that the microbiome plays a central role in the development of this disease, known as myelomagenesis, and also in its treatment, especially in the new era of immunotherapy.
