Background Retirement is an opportunity to establish new healthy routines and thus to prevent sarcopenic obesity. Exercise and nutritional interventions are promising in the prevention and treatment of sarcopenic obesity, but summarised evidence on their effectiveness in retirement-aged people is scarce.
