Objective: Determinants of handgrip strength in independently living older adults are not well established. This study investigates the determinants of handgrip strength in community-dwelling older women. Methods: Cross-sectional data of 85 participants (72 – 93 years) of the longitudinal study on nutrition and health status of senior citizens in Gießen, Germany, were investigated.
