Introduction: Prevalence of obesity in childhood and adolescence is increasing (1), overweight or obese children are at high risk for metabolic comorbidities like impaired glucose tolerance (IGT), dyslipidemia, hypertension, premature arteriosclerosis and non alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) (2).
