Introduction: Patients with parenteral nutrition (PN) often require i.v. drugs to treat underlying diseases. Critical dose drug cyclosporine A (CsA; Sandimmun®) is used in transplanted patients potentially also candidates for PN. CsA is a highly lipophilic drug solubilized for the i.v. formulation. All-in-one (AIO) PN are complex admixtures with numerous potential interactions asking for critical evaluation of treatments' compatibility, quality and safety.
