Aims: The primary purpose was to discribe psychological, social and personal aspects of morbid obese adolescents. Methods: First, between Januar 2003 and Juni 2004 psychological data of 83 morbid obese adolescent girls and boys (37 male and 46 female) between the ages of 6 and 18 years were collected. They completed a battery of questionnaires that assesed dieting statuts, anxiety, depression and familiy context and were also interviewed individually.
