It was only in 2004 that nutrition was recognized as an important part in the life-long learning process by nutrition policy makers in Slovenia. The contribution presents current situation in nutrition education in Slovenia, which, due to an ever growing incidences of modern civilization diseases and unhealthy nutritional habits, needs to be changed. The topics on nutrition have become part of the pre-school curriculum.
