Does intensive dietetic intervention influence malnutrition and inflammation in hemodialysis patients?

Protein-energy malnutrition (PEM) and chronic inflammation are frequent complications in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and hemodialysis (HD). These conditions are highly predictive for vascular events and mortality.
